SUMNER SCHOOL DISTRICT Although completely separate, the City of Sumner and the Sumner School District work closely together. Link to Sumner School District þ WORKING TOGETHER:
Each year, the school district and cities of Sumner and Bonney Lake meet with the youth to find out what issues are concerning them. Then, at an annual community summit held later in the year, residents of the two cities gather with city officials and school district staff to discuss those topics in depth.
The Sumner Police Department brings their unique experience to teach safety in exercises such as the Bike Rodeo at Daffodil Valley Elementary School.
On several occasions, including Dr. Seuss' birthday and Sumner High School's senior boards presentations, City officials participate and get the chance to work one on one with students.
The City and School District work together to offer residents services such as the Sumner Family Center and Sumner's Recreation Department. Learn more about: Sumner Recreation Department þ Daffodil Valley Sports Complex
