TRAILS

Sumner's trails are in progress!  With volunteers helping to plant natural vegetation and construction underway, Sumner will soon have a more complete trail system.

The system is based on the Sumner-Pacific Trail Master Plan that was developed jointly with the City of Pacific in 1995.  The system will eventually connect to the Interurban Trail to the north and the Foothills and Puyallup Trails to the south.

Now open!

Confluence Trail--this trail provides easy, disabled access right to the confluence of the Puyallup and White Rivers--perfect for fishing or spending an hour by the river.

To go: take State Street to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Park near the plant and access the trail to the right of the plant.

Currently under construction:

Sumner Trail--starts at 24th St., crosses the river with a pedestrian bridge and continues south along the White River.
