DESIGN COMMISSION
The Design Commission provides advice to City officials on the implementation of the City of Sumner Design and Development Guidelines.
They encourage and promote good design as a vital part of the community. The majority of their membership represents design professions such as engineering, architecture, planning, construction, and landscaping. They serve four year terms. The Mayor appoints six members, while the Planning Commission appoints one member. The City Council confirms all positions.

Design Review Process
The Design Commission meets the second Thursday of the month at 6 pm in the City Council Chambers. They only meet if there are projects to review.
